Privacy Notice

We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool we run on our own server in Singapore. The data stays there and is not shared with anyone else. The tracking script loads only on www.senovance.com, after a page has finished loading.

For each visit we record the time, the page address (with any query string, but nothing after a #), the page title, the referring address, your screen size and your browser’s language. From the request, our server works out your browser, operating system, device type and country, but not your region or city. Campaign tags in the address, such as UTM parameters and ad click IDs like gclid, are recorded as well.

Your IP address and full browser string are used only in the moment, to look up your country and to compute a session ID; neither is stored. The session ID is derived from the site’s ID, your IP address, your browser string, the current month and a key kept on our server, so it stays the same for a browser through a calendar month and changes with the next.

Analytics sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser and does not record what you do on the page. It reads one setting: if this site’s local storage holds umami.disabled, your visit is not counted. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change what is counted. Known bots are not counted.

Statistics are kept for 25 months, and older records are deleted every day. Backups on the server are kept for a further 14 days, and the offline copies we keep, for about a month.

Country lookup: IP Geolocation by DB-IP

Our web server keeps a log of each request: your full IP address, the time, the address requested (with any query string), request headers such as your browser string and the referring address, and the response’s status, size and timing. We use the log to keep the site secure and to diagnose problems, and delete it after 90 days.

This site sets no cookies. Within the current tab only, it keeps two settings that are never sent to a server: the background shade for the change from one page to the next, cleared as soon as the next page reads it, and the motion preference when an address carries ?motion=. It writes nothing to local storage, loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies, and has no forms. Our email addresses appear only when you open the contact panel.
