From Mechanism to Medicine

Our R&D runs from original mechanistic research through clinical development.

  1. Original Mechanistic ResearchUnderstanding how to reverse senescence-associated cell cycle arrest, and building translational evidence in cell and animal studies that points toward treating disease.
  2. Nucleic Acid DesignDesigning and validating nucleic acids for each application, then making, testing and advancing candidates.
  3. Nonclinical EvaluationStudies in cells, rodents and nonhuman primates that evaluate mechanism, function and dosing.
  4. Process and Product DevelopmentThe synthetic route and specifications for the drug substance are established; formulation and clinical development continue to advance.
  5. Clinical DevelopmentInvestigator-initiated trial (IIT) results in androgenetic alopecia, preliminary results in ALS and work toward FDA INDs for both priority programs.

Aesthetics

The same mechanism, applied to aging skin: the SenoVance RNA product line, used in two professional protocols. Products for both protocols have completed filings in China. In our first limited launch to test pricing, we sold more than 1,000 treatments within a month, ahead of expectations.
